Once again it's National Duran Duran Appreciation Day, and I'm here to share my appreciation for my all-time favorite band in the world. Love them, love their music, love being a fan and don't care who knows it. *bg*

Okay, I am stuck in writer's block of epic proportions. Even my best soundtracks of sexy music aren't helping. So, I'm asking for the sexiest songs you know. Titles, versions, bands, links to the songs if you have them. Please, I'm begging you. The need to write is killing me and I'm staring at every WIP as though they're all written in Greek.
ETA: Oh, and if you've got suggestions on how to demolish the writer's block, they'd be gladly accepted too.

I pretty much never post recs. But I have to point people to the two fabulous stories written for me over on Yuletide.
Ziggurat is a wonderfully angsty, somewhat h/c Phileas/Jules story from The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne. Beautifully written, and just an all-around very well-done story. Dreams so intricately interwoven with real life that it perfectly captures the state of mind Jules is in just in the storytelling alone. Go read it. Really. :)
A Blue Christmas is a sweet, adorable JoSi stocking stuffer that gives me the warm fuzzies. RPF, but not quite RPS (certainly much less RPS than the two of them on stage, or in interviews), it just captures my two favorite Durans so well! *happy sigh* |

I <3 the new British Robin Hood series. I wasn't sure after the first ep. I liked it, but the flashy stuff they did with the effects bugged me. It seemed like it would be good without the cheesy effects. This time they avoided the cheesy effects, and stole my heart. The last five minutes were so good I was watching it with the big sparkly anime eyes.
*sigh*
It doesn't hurt that Robin is really fucking hot.

Yes, that's right, it's Duran Duran Appreciation Day again, and I feel compelled to post some of my favorite pictures from the past year, and some rare video clips and mp3s, including Simon singing Nightboat with the Smashing Pumpkins, which is a very, very cool version of the song.

Okay, turns out it's not my issue, just my problem. Every time the people upstairs and to the right flush, my toilet and bathtub back up.
It's disgusting.
I'm going to have to bleach the whole bathroom, which currently has about half an inch of water in it. Disgusting, sewage-filled water that has seeped out into the hallway carpet, so I cannot go into my bedroom without shoes on.
And the guy from the condo association is being a dick.
